These neighborhoods have plenty of notable offerings if you are looking for a new favorite restaurant or need to get in some shopping.
Celebrating the bounty of Woodland’s rich agricultural history and culinary heritage, Morgan’s on Main is a fantastic neighborhood gem well known in the area for its location, cuisine, and warm, friendly service.
Another local favorite is the Broderick Roadhouse, born on a food truck right here in West Sacramento. Serving scratch-made comfort food with bold flavors, Broderick offers a fresh take on a burger joint. They even offer veggie-based options for all their classic burgers.
The area has many malls and shopping centers, including the Woodland Gateway shopping center, the Riverpoint Marketplace, and Promenade Shopping Center.

Things to Do

There are so many reasons to get out and go in these communities, but some of the best let residents take advantage of the climate that has made California a destination for centuries.
A huge draw for this area is Velocity Island Park, which features a comprehensive water park, wakeboarding park, beach, event venue, bar & grill, shopping, and more. The park also has a full slate of events, including nighttime access to the water park, beach bonfires, live music and DJs, foam dance floor, and space for industry parties.
The Sacramento River Parkway Trail is an excellent location for those who want to jog, run, or bike close to home or for those with furry friends who need a place to take a walk.
The North Natomas Regional Park is a 212-acre park that offers everything a community park should have. A dog park for off-leash fun, sports fields and courts, biking trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, and a splash pad. The park also plays host to a farmers market, and the Stage at Lawn Amphitheater is the setting for plenty of community events.
For baseball fans in the area, there is no need to drive to San Francisco or Oakland to watch a game. The Sutter Health Park is home to the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats, so drop by and root, root for Sacramento’s home team.
