This lovely park is named after County Supervisor Ancil Hoffman, the manager of world heavyweight boxing champion Max Baer, and is dotted with old-growth oaks. The park is bordered on two sides by the American River and is home to the Effie Yeaw Nature Center and the award-winning Ancil Hoffman Golf Course.
